"Fear not what can be sensed by eye or ear or hand... have a heart to fear only those things that cannot be detected by mortal senses."

Klinde

An ancient warrior and general, Klinde is a member of the Children of Hel who passed into the service of Dietrich . Klinde was recovered by Einsa while being held prisoner in the Kaltstein and agreed to take her to safety if she would agree to take him with her.

Biography[]

Klinde and his siblings, the Children of Hel , were brought from the Underworld in the Grauwelt at the behest of Dietrich. In exchange, Dietrich was to pledge the future of his people to Hel.

The Children of Hel fought alongside Dietrich against the Great Hund , but were unfortunately defeated. The Great Hund instructed his servants to carry the four Children of Hel to different corners of the World and bury them, so that they could never be found and used again.

Klinde was eventually found by a being named Schall . Soon after his disinterment, Klinde ran amok and travelled the Grauwelt in search of his siblings.

It is said he dissapeared a time to the far east; nothing is known about what he did there or for how long he remained.

Upon Klinde's return west he lead an army of Mann and other beings to attack the Kaltstein , but failed. He was captured and locked up in the Kaltstein's easternmost tower.

Klinde was later found by Einsa , a fellow prisoner of the Kaltstein that agreed to carry him away from the castle in exchange for showing her the way out.

Personality and Traits[]

Klinde is very quiet and somber. He tends towards violence as a solution to his problems, even when a non-violent solution is equally viable.

He likes to take a long time to think before responding. During their travels together, Einsa noticed that Klinde has a vast wealth of knowledge. Little seems to escape his grasp.

Manner of speech[]

Klinde could not speak in the normal sense of the word. He could relay and receive thoughts through tacticle contact; while a bearer held him he could "speak" in the person's mind and they to him.

Klinde also had an uncanny ability to read the thoughts of his bearer even when they were not directed to him in conversation, and he could in a way "see" and "hear" through their eyes.
